San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy
Guided Hikes – During any given month there are guided hikes where you can discover more about local habitats and enjoy an easy trek on trails within the 55-mile San Dieguito River Park. Are you a beginning or experienced mountain biker or equestrian?
Monthly Restoration Projects – Monthly habitat restoration and trail maintenance projects offer a great way for older kids to earn community service credit, for high school and college students to gain valuable career experience “in the field”, and for anyone to support the River Park and its projects. All activities are free unless otherwise noted and reservations should be made if noted. Trail Restoration – the 2nd Sunday of each month, 8-11 a.m. See the Events Calendar for specific locations.
Members-only: Join us for a 10-mile fitness hike starting at the Santa Fe Valley Staging Area, continuing through Del Dios Gorge, around the north shore of Lake Hodges and finishing just east of I-15 at the Sunset Drive Staging Area. Register here
The Conservancy is excited to announce the official kick-off of our new Watershed Explorers Program in early 2016. As they visit different sites within the watershed from Volcan Mountain to the San Dieguito Lagoon, students develop a "sense of place" and appreciation for the environment - recognizing they play a role in keeping the natural community a thriving ecosystem.
